Mike Camunas is the Community Sports Editor for the North Suncoast, covering Hernando and Pasco counties. Mike oversees the recreation sports page, the golf page, the Hometown photos page and the youth sports pages for the Hernando Times and Pasco Times sections of the St. Petersburg Times. A Tampa native, Mike was raised in Pasco County, where he graduated from Wesley Chapel High in 2001. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a mass communications degree in May 2007. Mike came to the Times as a correspondent in June 2005 to help with the USF sports beat and continued to be a stringer, helping out high school sports and Pasco news. Mike is married to Allison Camunas, a copy editor for tbt*.
