Sherri Day is the metropolitan religion reporter for the St. Petersburg Times. She reports about the intersection of religion and faith with everything from politics to families. Sherri joined the Times in 2004 after a four-year stint at the New York Times. A native of Tifton, Ga, Sherri received her bachelor's degree in mass media arts from Clark Atlanta University. She completed her master's degree at the University of California at Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism. Sherri lives in New Tampa with her husband, daughter and two cats.
