Kim Wilmath joined the Times after graduating from the University of Florida in 2009 with a degree in journalism and outside concentration in dance. After stints on the Times NOW! team and in the Brandon/Riverview bureau, Kim joined the education team. She covers the University of South Florida, higher education and Hillsborough schools. Before joining the Times, she held internships with the Valley News in New Hampshire, the High Springs Herald in north Florida and the Levy County Journal in Chiefland, near Gainesville. A Tampa native, Kim can often be spotted running on Bayshore or at the beach.
