(AP) Rookie linebacker Jerome Baker intercepted Sam Darnold and scored the only touchdown on a 25-yard return with 11 minutes left, and a resilient defense helped the Miami Dolphins beat the New York Jets 13-6. Darnold threw four interceptions and took four sacks, and the Jets went 2 for 13 on third down.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Cam Newton completed 19 of 25 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns, Christian McCaffrey racked up 157 total yards and scored twice and the Carolina Panthers built an early lead and held on to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 42-28 for their 10th straight home win. Newton threw TD passes of 19 yards to Curtis Samuel and 17 yards to Greg Olsen, the seventh straight game he's thrown for at least two touchdowns. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 243 yards and four TDs in the loss.
SAN ANTONIO (AP) Aaron Gordon scored 26 points and the Orlando Magic held on to beat the San Antonio Spurs 117-110 after nearly blowing a 26-point lead with 9 minutes remaining. D.J Augustin added 18 points for Orlando, which scored a season high and hit 12 3-pointers.
OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) Yanni Gourde scored 14 seconds into overtime to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 4-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Brayden Point tied the score with 27 seconds left in regulation on a two-man advantage off a pass from Tyler Johnson to send the game to the extra period. Cedric Paquette and Mathieu Joseph also scored for the Lightning, and Louis Domingue stopped 22 shots. Ryan McDonagh had three assists.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Ryan Fitzpatrick played well enough to retain the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' starting quarterback job for another week. Now if "Fitzmagic" can figure out how to keep his team from digging itself such a big hole early in games. Fitzpatrick replaced the struggling Jameis Winston and threw for 243 yards and four touchdowns, but it wasn't nearly enough for the Buccaneers to overcome a 28-point first half deficit as they lost 42-28 to the Carolina Panthers. He had two interceptions.

KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) One of the world's most accomplished offshore powerboat racers is hoping to earn two more world titles this week at the Key West World Championships in the Florida Keys. John Tomlinson of Miami has amassed 46 national and world titles in his 32-year career. In Key West, he plans to race two different boats during separate Superboat races scheduled for Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
