A Marine aircraft stopped in Tampa on Tuesday to take on toys collected here for delivery to children in Panama. The 2 1/2 tons of playthings will go to thousands of children in hospitals, orphanages and refugee camps as part of Project Maji. The toy delivery initially was delayed because the Marines had difficulty getting permission to land a plane in war-torn Panama. The State Department approved the mission last week. On Friday, the government of Panama also gave its approval.
