Two gunmen robbed Arby's Roast Beef in Brandon about 11 p.m. Tuesday and shut the manager and four employees in the cooler, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office report. The men, armed with a 9mm automatic pistol and a revolver, entered the unlocked back door of the restaurant at 903 W Brandon Blvd. They took an undisclosed amount of money from the safe and register, put the employees in the cooler and fled on foot. The report did not say whether the cooler was locked or how the victims managed to get out, and Arby's employees would not comment.
One suspect was described as black, about 25 years old, 6 feet 3, 250 pounds, with a moustache. He was wearing sunglasses, dark clothing and a baseball hat, the report said.
The second man was black and about 25 years old, 6 feet 3, 210 pounds, with moustache, wearing dark clothing and sunglasses.
No arrests had been made Wednesday, and the investigation is continuing, said sheriff's Capt. James Walker.
