ANNIVERSARIES

The Koonses Herbert and Maryellen Koons of St. Petersburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 12 at Jesse's Landing in Seminole. The couple were married in Indianapolis and came to St. Petersburg in 1971 from Cincinnati. Herbert retired from Colonial Stores of Cincinnati, and as an accountant executive. Maryellen worked for William H. Block department store. The couple have a daughter and two grandchildren. The Osterndorfs

Henry and Mabel Osterndorf of Treasure Island celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family members and friends at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. They were married Jan. 8, 1930, in New York City and came to the area in 1973 from North Hills, Pa. Henry retired from Western Union in 1969. The couple have two daughters, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Raymondos

Charles and Josephine Raymondo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family members and friends at the home of their daughter and son-in-law. The couple married Jan. 10, 1940, in Silver Creek, N.Y., and came to St. Petersburg in 1972 from San Fernando, Calif. Charles worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Josephine worked for International Telephone and Telegraph. They have a daughter, two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.

The Spauldings

Nelson and Kathryn Spaulding of St. Petersburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family members and friends at a surprise reception and dinner held at the American Legion Post Home in Pinellas Park and renewed their vows at Allendale United Methodist Church. The couple were married Dec. 21, 1939, in Pennsylvania and came to St. Petersburg in 1953 from Attica, N.Y. Nelson retired from the city of St. Petersburg as a supervisor in the Traffic Control Department.

Kathryn retired as a librarian for the St. Petersburg library system.

They are members of Allendale United Methodist Church. The couple have a son, a daughter, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
