Church Women's Unit names new officers

Ann Foland will lead activities of the Womens Unit of Faith UnitedMethodist Church of Hudson for the 1990 year.

Other officers are Verla Bearbower, vice president; Marian Richards, secretary; Jane Parfitt, treasurer; Doris Brauchle, lay leader; Ellen Blumer and Elli Herrick, hospitality; Millye Matchett, worship; Audrey Treadway, Mary Wadell and Helen Gould, nominating; Lee Boal and Francis Cochran, membership and Charity Sutton, publicity.

Southwest Fire Lassies announce new officers

Dorothy Conoway will serve as president of the Southwest Fire Lassies of Holiday for the 1990 year.

Other officers are Marion Hunt, vice president; Florence Habig, secretary; Georginea Drake, treasurer; Estelle Holmer, publicity;

Magdaline Melody, kitchen, and Gladys Woolridge, parliamentarian.

Outstanding adjutant to be honored

Ed White, who was named outstanding adjutant of the year by the American Legion Department of Florida for 1989, will be honored Saturday at the American Legion Paradise Post 79 of New Port Richey.

A dinner-dance in his honor will be at 6 p.m. for members and guests.

Donation is $6.50 per person. Rock Cornish hen with all the trimmings will be served. Music beginning at 7 p.m. will be provided by the Carl Zimmerman Trio.

State legislator to be guest speaker at council

State Rep. John Renke, R-New Port Richey, will be the speaker when the West Pasco Allied Council (WESPAC) meets at 9 a.m. Saturday

at People's State Bank, U.S. 19 and Main Street, New Port Richey.
