Citrus High players sign national letters of intent

Citrus High seniors Shaun Jackson (above, left) and Todd Williams (above, right) pose with coach Ron Cline Wednesday when they signed national letters of intent to play college football at Division I programs. Signing party festivities were at Murphy's Restaurant in Inverness Wednesday night. Jackson (6 feet 2, 175 pounds) signed with the University of Minnesota. Though he played quarterback his senior season, Jackson was recruited as a wide receiver, a position at which he received all-state recognition in his junior year. Williams (5 feet 11, 190 pounds) signed with East Tennessee State University, a Division I-AA affiliated program. Williams rushed for more than 1,000 yards in 10 games as a senior.
