NEW JOB. Robert L. Kirk, chairman of Reflectone Inc., on Thursday wasnamed president and chief executive of CSX Transportation, one of three railroad units of CSX Corp. of Richmond, Va. Kirk, 61, will retain his title at Reflectone. He was named chairman for the Tampa-based maker of aircraft simulators in November.

EARNINGS RISE. Superior Surgical Mfg. Co. of Seminole on Thursday reported 1 percent higher net income on 1 percent higher sales for 1989. The company had a profit of nearly $7.2-million, or $3.16 per share, on sales of nearly $113.8-million. Based on the results, Superior Surgical increased the quarterly dividend from 15 cents to 18 cents per share. Superior Surgical makes uniforms and accessories for hospitals and other health-care facilities.
