Play series deals with social ills

Living Waters Theater will present the Prince of Judah Players inInside/Out Part I, Saturday, 8 p.m., at the Loft Theater, 1441 E Fletcher Ave. The play is the first of a three-part dramatic series on AIDS, homelessness and prison rehabilitation written and directed by Althea England.

Inside/Out explores the relationship between a homeless black teen-ager and a white ex-offender who are thrown together in an emergency shelter. When the two are forced to leave the shelter, they find an apartment together and begin a mutual process of intimacy and discovery.

The one-act play stars local actors Terry Hatfield as homeless teen L.T.D. and J. Douglas Quesenberry as ex-con Billy Tuesday.

Inside/Out was partly funded by a grant from the Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Arts Council. General admission to the play is $9, student admission is $7. For more information, call the Loft Theater, 972-3383, or the Living Waters Theater, 253-2597.
