CCC, Tampa Jesuit to serve as hosts for state tourneys

Two Tampa Bay area high schools will act as hosts for boys soccer state tournaments next weekend, based on information released Saturday by the Florida High School Activities Association. Clearwater Central Catholic is the host school for the Class 2A tournament. Jacksonville Bolles will play Boca Raton-Pope John Paul at 5 p.m. and Melbourne-Florida Air Academy will play Clearwater CC at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the semifinals. The championship game is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Jesuit, although it was eliminated from the playoffs by St. Petersburg High, is acting as the host school for the 4A and 3A tournaments, to be played at the University of Tampa.

In the 4A tournament, Winter Park will play Miami Killian at 3 p.m. and Jacksonville Fletcher will play Bloomingdale at 8 p.m. on Friday in the semifinals. The championship game is at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

In the 3A tournament, Tallahassee Leon plays Boca Raton at noon and Daytona Beach-Seabreeze plays St. Petersburg High at 6 p.m. on Friday in the semifinals. The championship game is at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission to each game is $4.
