Toddler survives seven-story fall from beach hotel balcony

POMPANO BEACH _ A 20-month-old toddler survived after falling seven stories from a hotel balcony and landing on concrete. Ryan Smith suffered only a broken leg and bruises in the fall Sunday, the Miami Herald reported. Ryan, his 3-year-old sister and their nanny, identified as Siohban Toner, were on the balcony of their seventh-floor room when Ryan pushed a rusty railing that gave way, according to police. Information on the child's condition was not being released by hospital officials Monday at the family's request. The toddler, whose family is from Huntington Beach, N.Y., was reported in serious but stable condition late Sunday.Heavy hookup
