Lakewood leads last Times top 10

St. Petersburg-Lakewood, which won two holiday tournaments and the Pinellas County Conference championship, has another honor. The Spartans finish the boys basketball season first in the Times' Tampa Bay top 10. Lakewood (26-4) sealed its position Friday in the PCC title game, scoring nine points in the last 62 seconds to beat Clearwater 77-75.

Chamberlain, Bloomingdale and Plant City remained Nos.2, 3 and 4.

Northeast (No.9) and Jesuit (No.7) dropped, and Tampa Bay Vo-Tech and Largo fell from the poll. Gibbs, with two wins, moved up to No.5. Clearwater re-entered the poll at No.6, and Countryside stayed at No.8.

Bayshore Christian, a state-ranked Class A team, slid into the poll in its final week, at No.10.
