St. Paul's, Bradenton Christian and Sarasota Christian advanced with victories in opening-round action of the boys Class A, District 10 basketball tournament Tuesday. None of the three teams had any trouble moving into the quarterfinals, scheduled to start at 2:15 p.m. Thursday at Keswick Christian.

In the nightcap, Sarasota Christian romped over Harvest Temple 59-34 behind Tim Weaver's 18 points.
Tim Zackowicz pumped in 23 for the Knights, but got little offensive help from his teammates, as the Blazers pulled away in the second quarter and never looked back.
A balanced attack was the difference for Sarasota Christian, as nine out of the 10 Blazers who suited up got on the scoreboard.
