Lawyer receives one-year suspension

Ran W, pg 7 in S & EA well-known St. Petersburg lawyer has been suspended by the Florida Bar after he was found guilty of battery against a client he was representing in a personal injury case. John H. Samaha, 58, who practices at 259 Fourth Ave. N, St. Petersburg, has been suspended for one year beginning March 12. According to the Bar, Samaha touched the woman and took partially nude photographs of her during examinations he said were necessary to prepare her case. Samaha, who was admitted to the Bar in 1957, has been fined $1,127.88. After he is readmitted to the Bar, he has been ordered to undergo psychological counseling while on one-year probation.
