Cook missing from early shift

Hillsborough sheriff's detectives are looking for a 29-year-old cook who disappeared during his shift at a Toddle House restaurant in north Tampa early Monday. Curtis Robert Rimes, who was hired as a cook at the restaurant at 2706 E Fletcher Ave. a week ago, was supposed to work the early morning shift alone until 7 a.m., according to a Sheriff's Office report. A taxi driver who stopped at the restaurant at 1:32 a.m. saw no one there and called the Sheriff's Office. Although $1.05 was on top of the cash register, there was no money inside, the report said. "There was nothing there that led me to believe there was (foul play) at this time," sheriff's Lt. Ken Allen said. Investigators were looking for Rimes, of 3909 E Comanche Ave., or people who know him. "At this point, we're just treating him as a missing person," sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.Pizza Hut robbed at gunpoint
