Pasco County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Brooksville man in connection with an armed robbery last month. James Gordon Dalquest, 50, of 8304 Yellow Pine Ave., was charged with armed robbery Monday. Deputies gave the following report:
On Sept. 29, Dalquest and another man broke into a mobile home at 3019 U.S. 301, Dade City. Dalquest grabbed the owner, Henry W. Leatherman, by the neck, while the other man pointed a gun at Leatherman, the report stated. They told Leatherman they would kill him if he did not give them his money. They took $200 from Leatherman's wallet.
Leatherman's son-in-law, Thomas Cherokee, saw one of the men in front of the mobile home and confronted him, the report stated. The man hit Cherokee in the side of the head, then jumped into a small truck and drove away.
Dalquest was being held Tuesday at the East Pasco Detention Center in lieu of $15,000 bail.
