School board members Tuesday nearly were forced to toss a coin to chose a contractor for the new school system administration building. When the low bidder on the project, a contractor from Pensacola, withdrew his bid because he incorrectly had totaled figures, there was a tie between two companies with the next lowest bid of $1.575-million. The contractors submitting that bid were Ajax Construction, which built additions at Pleasant Grove and Hernando elementary schools and the Lecanto Middle and Primary schools; and Edwards Construction, which built Rock Crusher Elementary School, the Citrus Springs Elementary School addition and the Inverness adult education center. The board opted to give the contract to Edwards to even out the jobs so each will have constructed four school projects in the county.Benefit concert to feature Miami singers
