Port Richey man accused of assaulting teen

A Port Richey man was arrested Wednesday and charged with lewd and lascivious conduct toward a 14-year-old girl. Ralph M. Pridemore, 22, of 6700 Date Palm Blvd. is accused of forcing the girl onto the floor and sexually assaulting her, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report, which gave the following account:

The girl, whose name is being withheld because of the nature of the crime, was visiting Pridemore with four others. Her friends left her alone with Pridemore after he gave them drinks. The girl said she wasn't feeling well and lay down on a bed. Pridemore forced her on the floor and sexually assaulted her, according to the report.

Pridemore was being held at the West Pasco Detention Center in lieu of $3,000 bail.

PHCC computer equipment stolen

_ More than $800 worth of computer equipment has been stolen from the computer room at the Pasco-Hernando Community College (PHCC) library.

Sometime between Oct. 17 and Wednesday, someone took a keyboard, a "mouse" and two disk drives belonging to an Apple computer from the library's computer room, according to a Pasco County sheriff's report.

A PHCC official said the equipment must have been stolen during business hours because none of the emergency exits were disturbed, the report stated.
