Two Louisiana men and another from Alabama claimed a $7.82-million Lotto grand prize Thursday. The men, insurance company sales managers who formed a partnership to buy Lotto tickets, put in $5 apiece each week to buy 15 tickets and agreed to split any winnings.
"We made that agreement legal this week," said Bill Mayo of Dothan, Ala. Mayo shared the prize with LaRay Stringer and John Gault of Mandeville, La.
The men, who have been friends for about 10 years, will share about $391,000 annually. They all plan to continue working.
