Dwayne Mobley rushed 27 times for 242 yards and two touchdowns as Hernando High came from behind to beat Citrus 19-12 in a Class 3A, District 4 game Friday night. Hernando tied the game at 12-12 with just more than five minutes left in the fourth quarter when Chad Moore hit Desmond Sanders with a 30-yard touchdown pass. Jesse Owens added the point-after kick to put the Leopards ahead to stay.
Mobley scored his second touchdown on a 13-yard run with 32 seconds remaining. The junior fullback also scored Hernando High's touchdown on a 70-yard run in the second quarter.
Citrus scored first when Rob Malpica's 8-yard run. The Hurricanes broke a 6-6 halftime tie in the fourth quarter when Robbie Chandler caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Chuck Roberts.
Hernando High improved to 3-4 overall and 3-4 in District 3A-4. Citrus fell to 3-5 overall and 2-5 in the district.
