PRIME-TIME PICK

An international cast gives this suspenseful, Italian-American co-production the ballast it needs to float. Perry King and Michael Beck star as two of four vacationing New Yorkers on the adventure of their life in Only One Survives (9 p.m., WTVT-Channel 13), a world premiere directed by Italian photo-journalist Folco Quilici. With a plotline that resembles The Wages of Fear (a 1952 French thriller about trucks laden with nitroglycerin weaving their way through the South American jungle), Only One Survives finds five men risking their lives "recapturing" an explosive-laden boat, drifting off the coast of Brazil. The prize: a healthy cash reward. The danger: instantaneous death if the killer cargo is manhandled. Joining King and Beck on this voyage of doom are Fabio Testi and Yuji Okumoto _ two fellow New Yorkers with a keen eye for fishing _ and Paolo Bonacelli as their Brazilian boat captain._ TV Data
