A young girl who was kidnapped and sexually assaulted Sunday morning was pronounced dead shortly after detectives found her underneath a neighbor's bed, police said. Police canvassed the neighborhood after the family of Yoanna Maria Noda, who would have been 2 years old Wednesday, called to say she was missing shortly after 7 a.m Sunday. They found her nearly lifeless body under a neighbor's bed about 9 a.m. after a witness told detectives she saw the two together in a nearby alley that morning, said Miami police spokesman Bobby Navarro. Officers tried to revive the girl, but she was pronounced dead after paramedics rushed her to Jackson Memorial Hospital, Navarro said. An autopsy was being performed to determine the cause of death. The neighbor, Alcides Quiles, 28, ran from the scene but was captured after a short chase and charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and sexual battery, said homicide detective Oscar Tejeda.Razor blade found in Halloween candy
