Brannen Banks of Florida Inc. recently appointed Joe Levin to operate the secondary mortgage division for the five-bank organization. Levin will start mortgage programs and coordinate their implementation at the Bank of Inverness, Dunnellon State Bank, Crystal River Bank, Homosassa Springs Bank and the Hernando County Bank. Levin, who has worked 14 years in Palm Beach and Miami. He has an accounting degree from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. He lives in Inverness.Helen E. Gonzalez, a broker and sales representative with Century 21 Ed Tolle Realty in Crystal River, recently attended the seventh annual Super Star Retreat in Savannah, Ga. Top Century 21 representatives from Florida and Georgia shared techniques and attended a presentation on customer service.

ERA Suncoast Realty in Crystal River recently named Barbara McCaffrey, a Realtor and associate, its fifth Million Dollar Club Member for 1990.

Sandra E. Burda recently joined SunBank and Trust Co. as assistant vice president and loan officer. She has been a loan processor, an assistant branch manager and a loan officer. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Homosassa Springs, the March of Dimes and Junior Achievement.


The Bank of Inverness recently received a 1990 Winners' Circle Award for financial performance, according to Community Bankers of Florida. It is the highest honor given to banks by the group, which represents the state's 341 independent banks. The Bank of Inverness, established in 1926, employs 71 people and has assets of more than $237-million.
