A Tampa woman was killed and three others were injured when their car overturned early Sunday morning on Interstate 75, the Florida Highway Patrol said. A report identified the passenger who died as Leona Demeyer of 3911 Lynn Ave., Tampa; no age was given. The driver, Mary Appleby, 49, and two other passengers, Brenda Sue Jones, 19, and Nellie Walker, 49, all of the same address as Demeyer, received minor injuries, the report stated. Their car had been traveling south on I-75 at 2:50 a.m. about four miles south of State Road 54 when it apparently went out of control, entered the median strip and overturned after traveling about 600 feet, the report stated.
