Hernando County's efforts to shut down Asphalt Pavers Inc.'s soil-decontamination operation probably will not go to court until February, County Attorney Bruce Snow said Tuesday. The suit was scheduled for trial next month, but Circuit Judge Richard Tombrink Jr. said he wanted some preliminary issues decided before going to trial.
Tombrink, Snow and Joe Mason, Asphalt Pavers' attorney, met Monday to discuss how the trial will proceed.
Snow said a preliminary hearing likely will be scheduled for January, with the trial to take place the following month. The case already is 6 months old.
