Suncoast Basha officers introduced at dinner

New officers of the Suncoast Basha of the China-Burma-India Veteran Association will be introduced at a dinner meeting Sunday at the Sheraton Inn, U.S. 19, New Port Richey. They are Clarence H. Swanson, commander; Robert McKenzie, vice commander; Bernard Kerchoff, judge advocate and Walter Rowe, provost marshall.

The officers participated in a recent swearing in ceremony on May 25 at the 17th annual reunion in St. Augustine.

Swanson has appointed John McGuire adjutant-finance officer; Helen Barborotta recording secretary; E. Miller Smith chaplain; Betty Hunter service officer and Helen Pleines surgeon general.

Charles Mullick has been named committee chairman to represent the Basha on the Suncoast Veteran's Affiliated Council and McKenzie will head the membership drive.

Social time is at 1 p.m., with dinner of broiled lemon chicken or baked ham with pineapple sauce served at 2 p.m.

Renee and David Dalziel and Audrey and Don Beaumont will be host couples. This will be the last meeting of the season.

The members will assemble and collect packages for the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, the Basha's adopted Desert Storm unit. Many segments of the Brigade are still on active duty in Saudi Arabia. Members should bring their own packaging materials.

The Basha meets the first Sunday of the month with the exception of September when the meeting is set for the second Sunday. The group recesses during July and August. Pulaski Association

names new officers

John Staszel will serve as president of the Polish American Pulaski Association, 4616 Darlington Road, Holiday for the 1991-92 year.

Other officers are Henry Kornacki, first vice president; John Siuzdak, second vice president; Matthew Szynkiewicz, recording secretary; Frank Aleskwiz, treasurer; Helen Kaliszczik, financial secretary; and William Weinert, sergeant-at-arms.

Trustees are Emily Adamski, Ed Bosek, Frank Kodak, Ben Kosiorowski, Chester Lis, Ted Maciuszek, Henry Matz, Sylvia McIsaac, Ruth Pojecky, Julia Pszanka, Bess Serino, Joseph Zawacki and John Zych.

Park Lake Ladies Club

sponsors installation

The Park Lake Ladies Club is sponsoring an installation luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Sung Hee Restaurant, U.S. 19, New Port Richey.

Ruth Janovsky will be installed as president; Marian Vartanian, vice president; Muriel Pearce, treasurer and Stephanie Macko, secretary.

This will be the last meeting of the season. The club will recess for the summer and resume meetings Sept. 9 when a salad luncheon is planned.
