Baby blanket bingo

Lucky the baby who receives this gift! Knit in the highly textured honeycomb stitch with a lovely baby-weight pompadour yarn, this is a blanket to treasure and hand down from one generation to another. It's gorgeous to look at and heavenly soft to the touch. The luxurious blanket is worked with three strands of yarn on large needles in a gauge of 3{ stitches to the inch, so it goes quickly. The honeycomb stitch, which is a version of the cable stitch, is fascinating and easy to do.

The lace edging is done in a willow pattern and whip-stitched to the blanket. Finished size is approximately 33 by 48 inches. This delightful pattern was designed by Elena Fallon of Leawood, Kan.
