Lance M. More, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. More, Crystal River, has received a bachelor's degree from Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Ind. More is a political science major.
Jazz Society announces
3 scholarship winners
The Citrus County Jazz Society has announced the awarding of college scholarships to three Citrus County 1991 high school graduates.
The awards went to Kevin Rigotti, Citrus High; Mary Thomason, Crystal River High; and Allen Venezio, Lecanto High.
Funds for all of the jazz society's scholarship's have come from the group's monthly jam sessions and will be supplemented by additional funds from the first annual Calvacade of Jazz, where the group's members will play June 16 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium in Lecanto.
wins $100 scholarship
Brian Andrew Smith, Lecanto High School's 1991 valedictorian, is this year's recipient of the $100 Dr. Judith Resnik Science Scholarship given by the Citrus County Unit of B'nai B'rith.
Resnik was one of the astronauts who died in the Challenger explosion.
