Lotto tickets worth $1,094 are stolen

Lottery tickets worth $1,094 were stolen Monday from a Handy Food Store on County Road 54 in Zephyrhills. The assistant store manager discovered the tickets were missing when she opened the store Tuesday.

There was no sign of forced entry, and nothing else was missing, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

Stolen lottery tickets are invalidated immediately by lottery security, and anyone trying to cash in a stolen ticket can be arrested, a spokeswoman for the lottery said.

after accident with ATV

DADE CITY _ A 22-year-old man was injured seriously Tuesday while riding his four-wheel all-terrain vehicle (ATV) down a hill.

David Martin Glavish, of 3101 Singletary Road, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital after his vehicle flipped over on top of him at his parents' farm near Singletary Road, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

Glavish sustained a head injury and was listed as in critical condition Wednesday.

Man charged in sale

of obscene tapes

NEW PORT RICHEY _ A New Port Richey man was arrested Tuesday and charged with the sale of obscene material.

David M. Joynes, of 6437 Warner Ave., allegedly sold obscene videotapes to undercover sheriff's detectives on four occasions.

The tapes were ruled obscene after being reviewed by Judge Stanley Mills. Joynes was released Wednesday from the West Pasco Detention Center.
