Eight people were arrested Wednesday by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office in three sting operations. Detectives, posing as buyers of illegal drugs, arrested six alleged marijuana and cocaine dealers in an investigation that started last November. Charged with sale and possession of marijuana were three Land O'Lakes residents: Kenneth Neil Davis, 31, of 1057 State Road 52; Thomas P. Johnston, 40, of 4408 U.S. 41; and Russell D. Sauls, 32, of 1485 Jerome Road. Sauls also was charged with dealing in stolen property when he allegedly sold a stolen 12-gauge shotgun to undercover detectives.
Charged with the sale and possession of cocaine were: Rennie Maria Capshaw, 26, Route 583 in Land O'Lakes; Jeffrey C. Wrey, 27, of 69 Lake Padgett Drive in Land O'Lakes; and Paula Smith, 36, of 9238 Little Lake Road in Masaryktown.
Several more arrest warrants have been issued for others connected with the illegal drugs, according to Sheriff's Capt. Gene Caruso.
A second undercover investigation in Land O'Lakes resulted in the arrest Wednesday of Tina Marie Ceribelli, 32, of Lake Patience Apartments. She was charged with trafficking, sale and possession of cocaine.
In the third investigation, Dennis M. Darragh, 38, of 6525 Clark St. in Hudson, was arrested on a marijuana possession charge for allegedly trying to buy 4 pounds of marijuana for $4,800 from undercover detectives in New Port Richey, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Darragh allegedly was wearing a .357-Magnum handgun in a shoulder holster when he was arrested. He also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. The Sheriff's Office has confiscated the $4,800 and Darragh's Chevrolet.
