A 42-year-old man was shot Thursday night after arguing with another man near a convenience store, Hillsborough sheriff's officials said. Mateo Sebastian Pascual, 42, of Wimauma, was taken by helicopter to Tampa General Hospital with gunshot wounds to his upper body. He remained in critical condition Friday, a hospital spokeswoman said. The shooting occurred at 9:50 p.m., a half block from the Presto store at Railroad Street and SR 674, deputies said. Sheriff's deputies described the shooting suspect as a 5-foot-2, Hispanic male with black crew cut hair. He was wearing a white dress shirt with dark wavy lines, dark pants and brown flip-flop shoes. The man suspected in the shooting was a passenger in a brown-and-red Ford Bronco with a Challenger license plate, sheriff's deputies said.
