With this in mind, the Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida, in cooperation with the Hernando County Chamber of Commerce, is offering free one-hour counseling sessions to entrepreneurs interested in developing and implementing an effective accounting system for their current or prospective small business. A professional management counselor from the center will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Hernando County Chamber to provide confidential, individualized help. Subjects include basic accounting and record-keeping systems, cash and accrual methods of accounting, monthly financial statements, single and double entry systems, establishing controls and more.
