Citrus County Human Services has ordered all food available to be distributed at the Commodity Food Distribution centers on June 19. Everyone must bring proof of income. Clients of the state Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services must bring their letter of decision, and those on Social Security must bring their letter or bank statement if their check is automatically deposited in the bank.
For income criteria or to volunteer to help distribute the food, call 746-7777 or 628-5050.
The distribution center for the east side of the county is at the Disabled American Veterans Hall, 1039 N Paul Drive, Inverness. The west side site is at the Crystal River National Guard Armory.
Both centers will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as long as commodities hold out. Take bags or boxes to carry food home.
Acceptance and participation in the program are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or handicap.
