Daniel pitches Northwest into title game

Jarrett Daniel pitched a 4-hit shutout against Northwest, leading Interbay to 3-0 victory in the District 6 Senior League baseball tournament. The win propels Interbay (3-0) to the District 6 title game.

Palma Ceia (3-0) edged the Yellow Jackets 6-5 in eight innings Tuesday in other Senior League action.

Tonight at 7 p.m. at the West Tampa field, Palma Ceia will battle the winner of Wednesday's Northside-Yellow Jackets game in District 6 semifinal action.

In District 6 Junior League baseball, Skyway (2-1) rallied for six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to slip past Northwest 16-15 in a three-hour, 25-minute marathon game.

Tampa Bay's Rocky Berror scored the game's winning run and struck out 13 MacDill batters in Tampa Bay's 7-6 win in District 6 Little League action.

In other District 6 Little League action, Northside (2-0) advanced to semifinals after a 7-2 victory over the Yellow Jackets Tuesday. Northside will face the winner of Wednesday's Tampa Bay-Yellow Jackets tonight at 7:00 p.m. at MacDill in a semifinal game.

Skyway (2-0) rallied for five runs in the third inning, which included a Sherria Kelly homer, in its 9-3 win over Citrus Park in District 6 Senior League softball action.

Skyway can advance to the District 6 finals to play Tampa Bay (3-0) if it can defeat Wednesday's Citrus Park-Northwest winner tonight. The semifinal game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. tonight at Palma Ceia.

In Little League softball, Bayshore (3-0) crushed Palma Ceia 32-8 Tuesday night to advance to the District 6 final.

Bloomingdale remained undefeated with a 9-4 win over East Point on Tuesday in the District 13 Little League baseball tournament. Bloomingdale (3-0) will play tonight at 7 p.m. at Belmont Heights, as the Little League baseball tournament moves into the semifinals.
