Published Oct. 13, 2005

The Sertoma Family Campers Club, South Suncoast District recently elected officers for the 1991-92 year. They are Tom Hebert, president; Lois Vega, vice president; Margaret E. Hebert, secretary; Joe Vega, treasurer; and Glad Arnold, sergeant at arms. The new officers will be installed at the September meeting.

Once a month, the Sertoma Family Campers Club get together for a camping trip.

"Some members have tents, others have travel trailers, and a few camp in their motor homes," Ms. Hebert says.

When not camping, they work together for Sertoma. Members are involved in "fun days" for underprivileged children and the bluegrass festivals scheduled several times a year at the Sertoma Youth Ranch, just off Interstate 75 northwest of Dade City. In addition, they also help raise funds for the Sertoma Foundation and the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Center.

The club's next meeting is Saturday. Those interested in learning more about the group may call Ms. Hebert, at (813) 862-6730.
