A North Dakota teen-ager accused of killing his parents and two siblings took a rifle from his grandmother's home and told her he "was going to hunt some birds," records say.
The affidavits, made public in a Manatee County court hearing Wednesday, say grandmother Hilda Neugebauer, 81, later heard gunshots and screaming from the family's nearby trailer.
Micheal Neugebauer, 15, later picked up his girlfriend, Jackie Hieb, at his high school, where he displayed wads of cash.
The affidavits said Neugebauer's mother had a large amount of cash on the night she was killed but it wasn't found.
Neugebauer and Hieb were arrested Saturday at a Sarasota motel by the FBI. She was not charged.
