So you and your neighbors have eaten all the grapefruits and oranges you can stand, and there are still plenty left on your trees? A campaign is beginning so fruit can be collected and donated to local food banks for the hungry. Glean St. Pete organizer Bruce Boore is working this weekend with Boy Scout Troop 202 to pick citrus from the yards of obliging residents in south St. Petersburg. But for the effort to continue and expand, he is looking for more volunteers to pick fruit and residents who have either picked fruit to donate, or those who need their trees picked. The volunteers will return to homeowners one-fourth of the fruit the volunteers pick. For information, call Boore at 866-8993.
