Steve Christie leaves the Bucs, accepting an offer to play for the Bills. It's also reported Christie had told the Bucs he would not do such a thing.
It seems to me that this typifies much of what is wrong in sports today. The fans are exhorted to support "their team." Yet, the professionals do not consider it their team. They are willing to accept the highest bid for their services, regardless of location. This seems to be the case in all professional sports. How can anyone blame the public for being skeptical when all the evidence shows that the pros are chasing the dollar?
