OBITUARIES

BLOOMFIELD, ROBERT SLAUTER, 70, of Holiday, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1992) at home. Born in Monterey, Tenn., he came here 21 years ago from Crossville, Tenn. He was a mechanical draftsman in the commercial construction industry and a Methodist. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, and a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge 254, Oswego, Ill., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Holiday. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne C.; two stepdaughters, Arlene Darling and Aileen Burton, both of Peoria, Ill.; two sisters, Charlotte Brady, Crossville, and Roberta Burt, Norris, Tenn.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. National Cremation Society, Holiday.

EDGERTON, HELEN S., 69, of Holiday, died Friday (Feb. 14, 1992) at Clearwater Community Hospital. Born in Detroit, Mich., she came here 33 years ago from Fort Pierce. Survivors include two sons, Robert, Pettigrew, Ark., and Jon, Clearwater; and three grandchildren. Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home, Holiday.

ERKFITZ, LOUISE C., 85, of Spring Hill, died Sunday (Feb. 16, 1992) at home. Born in Belknap, Mich., she came here 10 years ago from Romeo, Mich. She was a Lutheran. Survivors include three daughters, Marlene Griffin of Spring Hill, Joyce Zempel of Rogers City, Mich., and Trudy Audette, Leesburg; two sisters, Anna Hopp, Romeo, and Iva Gainer, Rogers City; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. FOULKS, GEORGINA S., 86, of Holiday, died Sunday (Feb. 16, 1992) at home. Born in New Jersey, she came here 22 years ago from Lake Hiawatha, N.J. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Holiday. Survivors include her husband, George; a son, Raymond, Bedford, Texas; two daughters, Jeanne McKechnie, Groton, Conn., and Linda Palmer, New Jersey; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. HANSE, HELEN C., 72, of Hudson, died Sunday (Feb. 16, 1992) at HCA Bayonet Point/Hudson Medical Center. Born in Roanoke, Va., she came here nine years ago from Hatboro, Pa. She was a clerk with Prudential Insurance Co. and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, James, Langhorn, Pa.; a brother, Vincent Owens, Philadelphia, Pa.; and two grandchildren. Bell Funeral Home, Bayonet Point.

LA POINTE, ENOIL J., 70, of New Port Richey, died Monday (Feb. 17, 1992) at HCA New Port Richey Hospital. Born in Van Buren, Maine, he came here 20 years ago from Buffalo, N.Y. He was a retired Army master sergeant who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and a member of the Harvest Temple North, Tarpon Springs. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; three daughters, Jeanne Berent of Vista, Calif., and Alice LaPointe and Loretta Rochelle, both of Buffalo; two brothers, Charles, Clearwater, and Joseph, Las Vegas, Nev.; and six grandchildren. PULLICINO, SALVATORE, 88, of New Port Richey, died Sunday (Feb. 16, 1992) at HCA New Port Richey Hospital. Born on the Island of Malta, he came here 18 years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a retired contractor for the clothing industry and a Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Carmela; a son, Joseph, Hudson; three daughters, Mary Pullicino of New Port Richey, Connie Arbucci of Port Richey, and Dolores Carretta, Seaford, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. SWANSON, HERBERT J. "BUD," 74, of Hudson, died Friday (Feb. 14, 1992) at HCA Bayonet Point/Hudson Medical Center. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he was a winter resident here from Trenton, Ontario. He was a retired chartered accountant and a member of the King Street United Church, Trenton. He was a Royal Canadian Air Force veteran, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Sharon Hawkins, Trenton, and Cathy Jean Wilson, Toronto, Canada; a brother, Melvin, New Brunswick, Canada; two sisters, Gloria Neil, Montreal, Quebec, and Margaret Anger, New Brunswick; and one grandson. TOWE, HUGO CLYDE, 68, of New Port Richey, died Monday (Feb. 17, 1992) at home. Born in Evergreen, Mich., he came here six years ago from Redford, Mich. He was a millwright for Ford Motor Co. and an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, Paul of Redford, and Blair, Detroit; a daughter, Rebecca, Redford; his mother, Clara Schoen, Jonesville, Mich.; six brothers, Maxwell of Dearborn, Mich., Gerald of Michigan, Arthur of Dowagiac, Mich., Robert of Roswell, N.M., John of Coldwater, Mich., and Calvin, Jonesville; and a sister, Eula Alkema, Manitou Beach, Mich.
