Pet collar is designed to stop choking

You've heard those horror stories about dogs and cats choking to death because their collars got caught on something?

There's a new collar on the market called Second Chance that has a patented breakaway safety feature using Velcro.

The Velcro is strong enough to keep the collar fastened with normal use, but will separate when the pet struggles to free itself.

The collars are made of nylon, come in several colors and cost $9.95 for dog sizes and $7.95 for cats.

Second Chance collars are made by Second Chance Pet Products, 100 W. Main St., Plantsville, Conn. 06479. To order, call (800) 726-5911.
