BOWIEN, ERNST K., 76, of Beverly Hills, died Monday (Feb. 17, 1992) at Citrus Memorial Hospital. He was born in Koenigsberg, East Prussia, and was a toolmaker, machinist, chef, computer analyst and general contractor. He was a member of the German Club in Binghamton, N.Y., and Beverly Hills, the Germania Mannechoir of Binghamton, the Elks Club and the Italian Club, Inverness. Survivors include his wife, Hilde; a daughter, Uthe Snyder; and two grandsons. Hooper Funeral Home, Beverly Hills.

CLEMENT, ALLEN M., 72, of Brooksville, died Saturday (Jan. 25, 1992) at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He came here 10 years ago from his native Chicago. He was a retired bartender. Survivors include three sons, Allen M. III of Miami, Scott of Wheeling, Ill., and Austin, Park Ridge, Ill.; two sisters, Grace Cochran, Maple City, Mich., and Lois Bower, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren. DOWDING, MABEL LUCILLE, 97, of Spring Hill, died Monday (Feb. 17, 1992) at home. She came here one year ago from her native Providence, R.I. She was a member of the Washington Park Methodist Church, the Eastern Star Chapter 1 in Providence, and the Young at Heart Club. Survivors include a son, Robert E., Spring Hill; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Brewer Memorial Funeral Home, Seven Hills Chapel.

MAFFIA, CHARLENE E., 56, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 1992) at home. Born in Bar Harbor, Maine, she came here four years ago from Selden, N.Y. She was an office employee for Kensol-Olsenmark Inc., Melville, N.Y., and a Catholic. Survivors include her husband, Fred; two daughters, Adele Keyhole, Tarpon Springs, and Susan Paris, Port Charlotte; two brothers, Earl Whalen Searsport, Maine, and Ted Whalen, Old Town, Maine; and five grandchildren. SAUNDERS, CLIFFORD L., 82, of Brooksville, died Friday (Feb. 14, 1992) at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Born in Nassau, Bahamas, he came here 12 years ago from Miami. He was a retired hotel porter. Survivors include a son, Reginald, Miami; two daughters, Peggy Henry, Brooksville, and Shirley Wiliams, Miami; two brothers, William Monroe and Zeke Monroe, both of Nassau; two sisters, both of Nassau; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. SCOTT, WALTER, 103, of Brooksville, died Monday (Feb. 17, 1992) at home. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he came here 20 years ago from Clearwater. He was a retired foreman for Streets and Sanitation for the city of Clearwater, an Army veteran of World War I, and a Protestant. Survivors include a son, Richard, Toledo, Ohio; a daughter, Sharon Pettit, Winter Haven; and five grandchildren. Turner Funeral Home, Brooksville.

SEMMIG, WERNER A., 76, of Spring Hill, died Sunday (Feb. 16, 1992) at HCA Oak Hill Hospital. Born in Chemnitz, Germany, he came here 38 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a manager for King Kullen Supermarket and a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife, Gerda; a daughter, Heidalind, Long Island; a brother, Herbert Suenderhauf, Germany; and three grandchildren. WEEMS, VERNA MAE, 64, of Brooksville, died Monday (Feb. 17, 1992) at the Brooksville Regional Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Brooksville, a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, and the Pallbearers Lodge 4. Survivors include a brother, Eugene Redding Jr., Brooksville; and three sisters, Iola Bredwell of Jacksonville, Emma L. Redding of Yonkers, N.Y., and Minnie Stephens, Brooksville. WONNING, ALMA L., 91, of Homosassa, died Monday (Feb. 17, 1992). Born in Indiana, she came here seven months ago from Connersville, Ind. She was a Baptist and a member of the Eagles, Connersville.
