Authorities arrested four Marion County residents Tuesday on charges that they tried to deliver crack cocaine in Citrus, reports show.
Sandra Josephine McFadden, 23, of Oklawaha was walking through the Citrus Center Shopping Center on State Road 44 on Tuesday when an investigator approached her, the records show. The investigator, who had information about a possible drug deal in the area, told McFadden to stop. Instead, she ran into the woods; authorities later caught her and recovered 4 grams of crack cocaine that she had thrown away during the chase, records show.
Also arrested were three people who drove to Inverness with McFadden: Su Jong Pak, 23, of Ocala; Kevin Walthall, 21, of Weirsdale; and a 17-year-old boy whose name is withheld because of his age. Those three were charged with delivery of crack cocaine; McFadden faced three drug-related charges.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Gail Tierney said McFadden's 2- or 3-year-old daughter also was in the car at the time of the arrests.
