Women's Council of Realtors to meet

Sales up at East Lake Woodlands

Sales were up 37 percent in 1991 at East Lake Woodlands in north Pinellas County. A total of 152 sales were closed for $37-million in 1991, compared with 120 closings totaling $27-million in 1990, according to Rose Residential Reports, which tracks Tampa Bay builder activity. East Lake Woodlands' closings were second only to those at Isla del Sol/Bahia Vista, a multi-family resort community in St. Petersburg Beach, according to the report. East Lake Woodlands is at Tampa and East Lake roads in Palm Harbor.

New Century 21 office in Seminole

Century 21 Omnimark in Seminole and its broker/owners Bob and Betty Lhotka have been named a Centurion office by the national office of Century 21. Offices achieve the status by meeting sales standards set annually and by proven commitment to customer services. Their office is at 8686 131st St. N in Seminole.

Retirement communities

Freedom Square and Lake Seminole Square retirement communities in Seminole recorded 73 sales for $6.5-million in 1991. The communities offer active independent retirement living, assisted living and nursing care. Freedom Square is at 7800 Liberty Lane and Lake Seminole Square is at 8333 Seminole Blvd.

Turtle Creek

Arthur Rutenberg Homes has begun construction on a $525,000 model home in the second phase of Turtle Creek, on the golf course at East Lake Woodlands Country Club in north Pinellas County. The Verandah will have four bedrooms, a den, 3{ baths in 3,490 square feet of living space. The model is expected to open in March. East Lake Woodlands is at Tampa and East Lake roads in Palm Harbor. Suarez opens model at Calusa Trace

Suarez Housing Corp. has opened its Calypso model at Calusa Trace north of Van Dyke Road on N Dale Mabry Highway in Hillsborough County. The model has three bedrooms, a den, two baths and a two-car garage in 2,402 square feet of living space. Suarez's three-bedroom and four-bedroom homes in Calusa Trace are priced from $118,500 including lot. Suarez also builds at Cumberland Manor and Surrey Chase in northwest Hillsborough. Nohl Crest begins two model centers

Nohl Crest Homes has begun construction on model centers in the villages of Glencliff and Woodbay at Westchase, a master-planned community in northwest Hillsborough County. Both will open in March. In Woodbay, the model center will feature two single-family designs, the Pembrook III (4 bedrooms, 2{ baths, 3-car garage, 2,385 square feet) and the Carrington 60 (4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2,391 square feet). Prices start in the upper $120,000s. In Glencliff, the center will feature two villa designs on the golf course. Liz Pogue, certified real estate specialist, was the top sales associate with closed sales totaling more than $2.5-million. Martha Thorn was the top listing agent with more than $3-million in listed property. Bonnie Rubin, GRI, closed the most properties.
