(ran Citrus-Hernando edition)
Concern for the future of the endangered manatee is at the heart of Citrus County's annual festival, and there is education going on amid the fun and food and art each year. The main attraction outside the manatee area at the Plantation Inn is the arts exhibits, featuring rows of exhibits, including watercolors, woodcarvings, photographs and jewelry, much of it dedicated to manatees and other animals. Canoe races, concerts, a seafood festival, children's games and sporting events also are scheduled. The 1993 festival, which will be the tenth, is set for Feb. 20-21.
