The devil made Andrew do it.
That's the supermarket tabloid explanation for the hurricane that cut a path of destruction through South Florida in August.
The Oct. 13 issue of Weekly World News features a cover photo of angry storm clouds with the headline, "SATAN'S FACE IN HURRICANE ANDREW!"
The photo, which shows the clouds forming two eyes, a nose and a mouth as lightning crashes down on a gas station below, was attributed to 52-year-old freelance photographer Thomas Frank. Frank is quoted as saying he took the photo at 4:40 a.m. Aug. 24 while huddled in a doorway in south Dade County.
"The photograph has been hailed as proof positive that the devil exists and that it is he who caused the world's disasters," the News reports.
The issue also has a story about a horse with a human face that has the vocabulary of a 5-year-old child.
