Food warning issued

Prolonged loss of power and tornado damage can be dangerous to your food, so use caution with food that has been unrefrigerated for long. Residents also should be aware of the possibility of glass or foreign objects in food, and of spoilage. SPCA has help for pets

The St. Petersburg Chapter of the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has a pet ambulance assigned to disaster areas. Residents without homes can board their animals at the SPCA shelter. The shelter is at 9099 130th Ave. N in Largo. Call 586-3591.
