A look at how major-college football players with Hernando County ties are faring this season:

Marlin Green (Hernando), Navy, DB, 5-9, 186, So.

Green, a reserve, made one solo tackle in 0-4 Navy's 28-14 road loss to North Carolina on Saturday. Next: Saturday, at Air Force. Season stats: 1 tackle, 2 assists, 2 total.

Robert Harris (Hernando), Kentucky, TE, 6-4, 230, Jr.

Harris, a reserve, injured his back in practice last week and did not travel with Kentucky to its 24-14 loss at Mississippi on Saturday. He's expected to return to practice this week. Next: Oct. 17, at Louisiana State. Season stats: 1 reception, 12 yards.

Andrew Timmons (Hernando), Kansas State, DE, 6-3, 260, Fr.

Timmons, a reserve still eligible to be redshirted because Kansas State has yet to play its fourth game, made his college debut but did not record any tackles for the 3-0 Wildcats in a 19-0 home victory over New Mexico State. Next: Saturday, at Kansas.

NCAA Division I-AA

Carlos Timmons (Hernando), Eastern Kentucky, DE, 6-1, 213, So.

Timmons, Andrew's older brother and a starter, made five solo tackles, assisted on six others and caused a fumble for 4-0 Eastern Kentucky in a 20-10 home victory over Southeast Missouri State. Eastern Kentucky moved from No. 4 to No. 3 in the national rankings with the win. Next: Saturday, at No. 17 Samford (Ala.) University. Season totals: 13 tackles, 16 assists, 29 total, 1 caused fumble, 1 pass deflection.

Stone (Springstead; with Navy's junior-varsity team).
