Timmons, a reserve still eligible to be redshirted because Kansas State has yet to play its fourth game, made his college debut but did not record any tackles for the 3-0 Wildcats in a 19-0 home victory over New Mexico State. Next: Saturday, at Kansas.

Timmons, Andrew's older brother and a starter, made five solo tackles, assisted on six others and caused a fumble for 4-0 Eastern Kentucky in a 20-10 home victory over Southeast Missouri State. Eastern Kentucky moved from No. 4 to No. 3 in the national rankings with the win. Next: Saturday, at No. 17 Samford (Ala.) University. Season totals: 13 tackles, 16 assists, 29 total, 1 caused fumble, 1 pass deflection.
