Pinellas Park-Dixie moves to Northeast

Pinellas Park High's home football game against Dixie Hollins Friday night has been moved to Northeast because of tornado damage at Pinellas Park, assistant principal David Barnes said Wednesday.

The game will be played at 7 p.m. Northeast is scheduled for a game at Largo on Friday.

Tennis meeting: A county-wide meeting for tennis leaders and other enthusiasts will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at the Kent Jewish Community Center, 1955 Virginia St. in Clearwater. Marian Green, past president of the Florida Tennis Association, will discuss steps in forming a Pinellas County Tennis Association. The association would be a volunteer effort to coordinate tennis activities around the county. For directions, call 786-2645 or 736-1494.

PCAC swim meet: The 1992 Pinellas County Athletic Conference swim meet, postponed by last Saturday's tornadoes, will be Friday at the Long Center in Clearwater.

The meet, featuring the county's 15 public school teams, will begin at 4 p.m. Due to time restrictions, no preliminary qualifying races will be held. All heats will be run as finals, with the slower swimmers first and the fastest swimmers last. The meet is expected to last between 4 and 5 hours. Admission is $2.
